  • What is the VW diesel emissions scandal all about?

    In September 2015, VW admitted to two US regulatory agencies, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), that approximately 11 million model year 2009 to 2015 Volkswagen and Audi diesel vehicles were designed to lie about the emission controls of their diesel engines using something called a defeat device. These emissions indicate the amount of pollution that is released from the vehicle. Ultimately, these vehicles are not as environmentally friendly as they claimed to have been and emit more pollution than they claim to emit.

  • What if my vehicle falls outside the date range?

    The class action being investigated relates to motorists who purchased or leased certain diesel Volkswagen, Audi and/or Porsche vehicles, manufactured between 2008 and 2015, which were fitted with an emissions defeat device. If you have a vehicle that was manufactured prior to 2008 or after 2015, your vehicle is not the subject of our investigation and proposed class action.
